Hi, I’m Kali — the face behind Hey Gal Esthetics.
I graduated from DePauw University in 2021 with a degree in Anthropology. Throughout high school and college, I struggled with chronic cystic acne — the kind that knocks your confidence and leaves you feeling helpless. After trying countless medications like birth control, amoxicillin, and spironolactone, nothing truly helped until I found an acne-certified esthetician. That experience changed my skin and my life.
I finally felt confident in my own skin — and it lit a fire in me. I became obsessed with learning how to heal acne at its root rather than just masking it. Friends started coming to me for advice on their skincare routines, and I knew I had found my calling.
While still working a corporate job, I pursued my passion professionally. I earned my Indiana State Esthetics License along with certifications in dermaplaning, microneedling, and spray tanning through Dolce Glow. After welcoming my first child in early 2025, I felt a renewed drive to take the leap and turn my passion into a full-time business.
Now, I specialize in results-driven acne treatment and confidence-boosting skincare. I see you — because I was you. Let’s get you clear, glowing, and feeling your absolute best.
A Greeting That Grew Into a Brand
The name Hey Gal is more than just a cute greeting — it’s a love letter to my late grandma, Margie. She was my favorite person in the world. Every voicemail, every letter she sent me began the same way: "Hey Gal."
That simple phrase, always filled with warmth and love, stuck with me — so much that I had her handwriting tattooed on me as a reminder of the bond we shared. Naming my business Hey Gal felt like the most natural way to honor her legacy — one rooted in kindness, connection, and the kind of care that makes you feel seen.
